At the June meeting we had the judging of the Something Red competition.
For those of you playing at home, the competition required brewers to brew a batch that had some connection to the colour red. It didn’t matter how tenuous the link was, as long as the brewer could justify it to the rest of the club, everything was above board.
This competition saw the largest amount of entries we have ever received. Nearly every member brought along a brew and several even brought two.
After tasting all that was to offer it came down to two front runners. In the end Joel was beaten by one vote by Jimbo’s Russian Imperial Stout.
Jimbo is now our new club champion and gets to nominate the next club competition.
